We believe that Mailigen is an excellent choice for new and experienced marketers alike. The intuitive and easy to use back office or "dashboard" area gives instant and immediate access to training on the template editor, setting up surveys, autoresponders, using reports and statistics, and creating email campaigns. It’s all right there waiting for new users to get stuck into. The concern for many may be getting so caught up in the learning process that they never actually take action to get their campaigns up and running. This being said, it won’t be due to a lack of information or guidance, but rather Mailigen’s impressive features list.

We don’t have the space in this review to go into every single one of Mailigen’s features, so we are just going to focus on a couple that particularly caught our attention. Firstly, the drag and drop editor makes putting together a professional looking campaign emails a breeze. Users choose from a selection of email templates which they can then personalize by simply dragging and dropping their content (text, photos, logos, etc.) with a user friendly interface which even novices with limited IT skills will pick up in no time. If you do have HTML experience you will still find the design and usability of Mailigen a real time saver. However, the real winners will be those without the time for, or interest in, committing to the laborious process of learning HTML.

The autoresponder feature at Mailigen is one of its most popular features and includes several different tools that other autoresponders lack – even those of more expensive or established services. You will find yourself quite restricted by the 20 subscriber limit of the free trial which is only enough to briefly test the features before very soon having to commit to a paid plan. We felt that this rendered the free trial insufficient for users hoping to experience the full service before buying because email marketing with as little as 20 subscribers simply does not exist. On the other hand, Mailigen’s prices are competitive, start low, and changing your plan is easy. In this way, your lists can grow with your businesses needs as your subscriber base and email marketing requirements progress. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the free trial is the full featured version of the software; nothing is held back. It's good business and a sure sign that Mailigen believes strongly in the product they offer and the service they provide.
